Our retention rates for the last six months based on twelve weeks is 71%completed 29% self discharged. This was after taking out the settling period of two weeks. We are over the moon with these figures and proud to celebrate them with the team but also recognising that our retention figures are higher than last year.
Our move on houses and support workers are in place to help support the individuals move into independent living. We will take referrals outside of our service so don't hesitate to give the office a call if you would like further info. The move on houses are, as they say 'move on'; all tenants have to take part in work (either voluntary or paid) for a minimum of sixteen hours per week. Further education is encouraged and all of our tenants currently attend some form of further education.
We have had further little ones added to our client's lives and are proud to have been able to share this with our clients who have moved on.
We have a supported work initiative where we help individuals to return to work by offering work placements. These placements are offered on a voluntary, therapeutic or paid basis according to the individuals needs and abilities. The team have completed numerous projects so far and we have 8 permanent members on the team who are doing a splendid job, who are lead by a qualified counsellor. We are now in the process of establishing a programme which engages local employers to offer work experience for those in recovery. We believe that this empowers clients whilst at the same time reintergrating them in the local community, thus creating a shift in the perception that addiction and recovery have in society.
Our last inspection in the old system rated us as three star excellent, we continue to work to this standard.
